About Us

Totton Family Fun Day was started by Roger Frapwell in 2002, he was the Youth and Children’s Pastor at Testwood Baptist Church at the time. The first year saw 500 people attend. When Roger moved later that year to lead a church in Dorchester, a team was formed to organise the event. The organising team today are still accountable to Testwood Baptist Church. And, last year we peaked at over 5,500 people!

The idea is simple. Our churches (Churches together in Totton) are part of our community. It is quite simply The Church’s gift to the community it serves. The underpinning value of who we are is set in us as Christians. The team dreamed “big dreams” and each year there is something new and different. In the past we have had some very special guests, including Dan Magness who has his own Football Freestyle programme on Sky TV and last year we had Steve Thompson who organised the FA Cup final choir in 2015. We also encourage organisations / charities and businesses to exhibit and become more widely known in our community.

We want everyone in our community to feel welcome and have a free family day out. We love God and we love the people he has created. We like to have fun and like to bring that sense of vibrancy to our communities. If you would like to know more, get involved or have some ideas, please feel free to contact us. We would be delighted to hear from you.
